How did the idea for Bluegrass Tracks come about? For several years Windstream Channel 4 has been airing traditional (or classic) country music during its 4 Your Info... segments on the cable channel. While the format had been successful, many viewers requested more bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music. Windstream Channel 4 also wanted to be able to showcase the talents of the many bluegrass, country and gospel bands and performers in the area. Hence, the idea of Bluegrass Tracks was born.
Bluegrass Tracks can be heard each week at the following times in Blairsville, Young Harris, Hiawassee,GA and Hayesville & Warne, NC:

Mondays - Saturdays

In the future, the show may be added to the other geographic areas served by Windstream Cable Television throughout Northeast Georgia. These areas include: Dawsonville, Dahlonega, Cleveland, Helen, Clarkesville & Cornelia.
And as Windstream Channel 4 is a video channel, future plans are to air bluegrass music videos during some of the times. Naturally, while there are many bluegrass bands cutting CDs, there are far fewer producing music videos. But if we are able to get enough videos submitted, we will consider adding blocks of bluegrass music videos down the road.
